We are thrilled to see Syreeta and Robert’s South Beach wedding featured on Tacari Weddings!
This couple is the definition of cool! Syreeta held a gorgeous bouquet with crystal details in a stunning off-the-shoulder gown perfect for her beach wedding. The wedding colors of coral and teal were seen throughout the celebration from beginning to end. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous coral dresses and the groomsmen had the perfect accent of teal on their bow ties and shoes.
The glistening Atlantic Ocean provided a magnificent backdrop for their wedding ceremony on Miami’s Bentley Beach. White wooden chairs and a ceremonial arch completed the coastal theme. Guests were given envelopes of rose petals to toss as the pair walked down the aisle. The couple had a sand ceremony, a symbolic blending of two different-colored sands into a single vessel. This beautifully represents the blending of the bride and the groom, into a single, inseparable unit that is their marriage.
The reception continued into the Skyline Room, overlooking world-famous Ocean Drive and beautiful South Beach. This beautiful 1,500 square foot ballroom offers Italian marble flooring which we paired with the couple’s wedding colors throughout the reception decor details. Guests danced all night to the sounds of the DJ. Congratulations to the happy couple!

This article spotlights our Virtual Graduations for the Class of 2020!

During the pandemic, 84 West Events based in Davie, FL got creative early on to address the number of students who wouldn’t be able to be part of a traditional graduation ceremony at the end of the year. With over 40 years of event production and over 10 years of webcasting experience, 84 West was able to help participating schools plan, pre-produce, and pre-record Virtual Graduations to help salvage the experience so many were missing out on. This crafted offering helped so many schools in their area celebrate the Class of 2020 and bring a little joy to their students. The 84 West team also handled all of the coordination and distribution of the commencement to the virtual audience so parents, students, faculty, and their families were able to safely celebrate each graduate’s achievements.
The user-friendly process they created offers featured pre-recorded welcome remarks, pre-recorded national anthem, an interactive chat, the opportunity to remotely bring in keynote speakers, and other custom options for each school.
84 West Events remains a leader on wedding trends. Unfortunately, tragedies are no different. Immediately after the shut down due to COVID-19, 84 West launched an industry-wide Zoom call to discuss the issues of the pandemic hosted by Jeffrey Greene, founder of 84 West Events, in partnership with Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism.
The first call attracted so much attention that various prominent industry leaders wanted to participate the following week. The third Zoom meeting attracted thousands of attendees from around the country, and some even outside of the United States. Now the call includes state representatives, lawyers, the CEO of BizBash and even featured David Tutera. At this point, a new organization called The Live Events Coalition was formed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and its devastating impact on the live events industry.
The Live Events Coalition exists to provide advocacy, resources and a network that connects and supports all of the businesses, contractors and our workforce – the lifeblood of every event. At this point the Live Coalition has taken over as the primary host of these calls but Jeffrey Greene, founder of 84 West Events, is still featured prominently as an expert. Diana and Fernando knew the Acqualina Resort in Florida would be the perfect place to have their destination wedding on the beach. We were thrilled when they enlisted 84 West Events as their planner and are happy to see their wedding day featured on Grace Ormonde.
Just as planned, a wedding ceremony was held on the beach, featuring a chuppah decorated with crystals and veils. As a special touch, their dog served as the ring bearer, dressed in a tuxedo! Fernando made his vows in Spanish, Diana recited hers in Portuguese, and they also had a sand ceremony with a speech to honor their mothers. The following cocktail hour was set up by the main pool at the Acqualina, where guests signed little hearts that were placed on a frame as the newlyweds’ guest book.
For the wedding décor, a vibrant reception space was designed with a color palette of gold, purple, lilac, and pink magenta. Bistro lighting provided a warm ambiance, and hanging glass globes with orchids provided a whimsical touch. The night concluded with a festive lighting of sparklers.
